Proxy Selection screen

If you have been granted proxy rights that allow you to initiate a filing on behalf of another person or organization, the Proxy Selection screen appears whenever you open the PACFile wizard. Before you can begin completing the wizard, you must specify your filing authority.

By default, the I am filing as myself radio button is selected. This option is typically used by attorneys who are creating their own PACFiling. Since many proxies work for attorneys, and they are not attorneys themselves, use of this option would be inappropriate because they lack the authority to file under their own name. The same concept applies to other filer/proxy relationships.

Selecting the I am filing on behalf of someone else radio button activates the dropdown directly underneath. Within this menu, a proxy has the option to select any of the PACFile-registered individuals or organizations to whom they have been granted filing rights. This option provides the ability to file with the rights administered by the corresponding authority.
